Mahindra Treo Electric Three-Wheeler Showcased; To Offer ‘Last Mile Connectivity’ Solutions
Mahindra has showcased their electric three-wheeler, the Treo. The Mahindra Treo and the Treo Yaari offer last mile connectivity solution for the urban masses.
Mahindra has showcased their latest electric vehicle, the Treo three-wheeler. The lithium-ion battery-powered Mahindra Treo three-wheeler was showcased at the ongoing Move Summit 2018 in New Delhi.
The Mahindra Treo range includes; the Treo and the Treo Yaari. Both these three-wheelers will be available in three and four-seater variants. The electric three-wheeler range will use the latest lithium-ion battery technology. This offers a more durable, long lasting and low maintenance option compared to other batteries.

Pawan Goenka, MD, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, stated, "As India aspires to go all-electric, the time is right for us to develop sustainable solutions for urban mass mobility. As the pioneers of electric mobility in India, Mahindra has been working toward making the EV segment adoptable for masses and to facilitate mass transportation."

With the longest range in their respective segments, Treo and Treo Yaari are going to be a great fit for urban India's last mile mobility needs."
He further added, "The three-wheeler segment, with its sheer size, has the potential to make a significant contribution to India's all-electric mobility vision. The vehicles also give owners and drivers an opportunity to improve their earning potential by 20-25%, a very significant margin for them".

The Mahindra Treo and Treo Yaari, both offer customers last mile connectivity solutions in the country. Each of the electric three-wheelers is offered in further two variants: hard top and soft top. They also offer Telematics technology, which further enables connected features to monitor the range, charging status among others.

Mahindra also displayed their other innovations at MOVE 2018, the MESMA, NEMO and the UDO. The MESMA stands for ‘Mahindra's Electric Scalable and Modular Architecture, NEMO is Mahindra's NExt-Gen Mobility, which is India's first cloud-enabled mobility platform and the UDO their Concept Electric Mobility Pod.
