Jeep Compass Sales Figures For India — Sells 20,000 Units Since Its Launch
The Jeep Compass has sold 20,000 units since its launch in the Indian market. Compass SUV is now the best-selling Jeep model in India.
Jeep launched their Compass model in India last year and since then have managed to sell over 20,000 units in the country. The Compass SUV has now become one of the best-selling models for the American company in India.
The company is also said to have achieved the 25,000 unit production milestone, with 5,000 units being exported to countries like Japan and Australia. With 65 percent of the Compass comprising of local parts, it has allowed the company to price the Compass competitively in the Indian market.

The Jeep Compass is available in three variants: Sport, Longitude and Limited. All variants come standard with front-wheel drive system with both petrol and diesel options, while the 4X4 option is only available on the diesel trim on the top-end Limited variant.
The front of the Compass features Jeep's signature seven-slat grille in gloss black and chrome surrounds, apart from which it also gets projector headlamps with LED DRLs and a large air dam flanked on either side by the fog lamps.
The side and rear profile of the SUV receive clean character lines, chrome rooflines running across the sloping roof and ending at the rear above the LED tail lamps and trapezoidal wheel arches hosting the 16-inch wheels.
The Interiors of the Compass comes in a dual-tone theme and receives features like a five-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone air conditioning, auto folding OVRMs, push-button ignition and keyless entry.
Other features include six airbags with dual-stage activation, Traction Control system, Electronic Stability Control (ESP), ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors and Electronic Parking Brake.
The Jeep Compass comes with two engine options: a 2-litre turbo diesel producing 171bhp and 350Nm of torque and a 1.4-litre turbo petrol unit churning out 160bhp and 250Nm of torque. The diesel engine comes mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, while the petrol unit is mated to a seven-speed DDCT automatic transmission.
Thoughts On The Jeep Compass Sales
The Jeep Compass comes with a starting price of Rs 14.95 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). The company is also celebrating the Jeep 4X4 Month between 4th - 30th April allowing customers to upgrade to the 4X4 variant by paying an extra amount of just Rs 50,000.
Jeep India is also planning the launch of the Compass Trailhawk variant soon, with bookings already open for the new rugged version of the SUV.
