Jaguar Land Rover has launched the petrol variant of the F-Pace in India. The Jaguar F-Pace petrol is priced at Rs 63.17 lakh, ex-showroom (India). Bookings for the petrol version of the Jaguar F-Pace are now open.
The F-Pace will be locally assembled in India. It is the sixth model from the brand to be assembled in the country after the XE, XF, XJ, Discovery Sport and the Evoque. Local assembly for the model began with the diesel version, back in November 2017.
The Jaguar F-Pace is available in a single trim, the Prestige. This trim is now further available in both the diesel and the newly launched petrol variant. The diesel variant of the F-Pace comes with a price of Rs 63.57 lakh, ex-showroom (India).
The petrol powered F-Pace comes with a 2.0-litre Ingenium petrol engine. It produces 247bhp and 365Nm of torque and is mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox, sending power to all four wheels. The F-Pace is capable of a top speed of 217km/h while doing a 0 - 100km/h sprint in just seven seconds.
Rohit Suri, President & Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover India Ltd (JLRIL), said, "In the two years since its launch in India, the Jaguar F-Pace has captivated the imagination of Jaguar fans and our discerning customers. With the launch of the locally manufactured Ingenium petrol derivative of the F-Pace, the appeal of our first Jaguar SUV is further enhanced."
In terms of features, the Jaguar F-Pace comes packed with a number of features and equipment. Some of the features include Park Assist, Cabin Air Isolation, Wifi-Hotspot, Driver Condition Monitor, Lane Keep assist, 360-degree Parking Sensors, 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system and Adaptive LED Headlights.
Other additional features on the 2019 Jaguar F-Pace: chrome switches, metal pedals, 10-way adjustable seats, suede cloth headliner and illuminated metal tread plates.
Thoughts On The Jaguar F-Pace Petrol
The Jaguar F-Pace was introduced in India, initially with just the diesel engine. The company has now added the petrol variant as well. The 2.0-litre Ingenium petrol engine is the same as seen on the Land Rover Discovery Sport and the Range Rover Evoque. The 2019 Jaguar F-Pace in India rivals the likes of the BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLE and the Volvo XC60.
