Hyundai Creta Diamond Edition To Be Revealed Next Month With New Features
South Korean automaker Hyundai is all set to unveil a new variant of the Creta SUV at the Sao Paulo Motor Show in Brazil in November 2018. The new model will be the top-spec trim of the SUV and it is likely to be called as Hyundai Creta Diamond Edition. The Creta Diamond Edition will be equipped with new features and premium interior.
The new Hyundai Creta Diamond Edition will be based on the updated Creta that was revealed in 2017. The Creta Diamond Edition will be equipped with features such as a panoramic sunroof, new colour options and quilted leather seats with dual-tone caramel and ivory colour treatment.
The Hyundai Creta Diamond Edition will be slotted above the top-spec Prestige trim that is similar to the India-spec Creta SX (O) trim. Apart from that, the overall design of the Creta Diamond Edition will remain unchanged as compared to the currently sold model.
The Brazil-spec Hyundai Creta is offered with two engine options: 1.6-litre and 2-litre flex-fuel engine. The Brazilian market does not get the diesel variant of the SUV. The 1.6-litre unit produces 130bhp and is mated to a 6-speed manual or an automatic gearbox. The bigger 2-litre engine produces 166bhp and comes mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
Apart from the Hyundai Creta Diamond Edition, the company will also unveil the Hyundai Saga small SUV concept. The new Saga SUV will feature a wide cascading grille, coupe-like roofline and flared wheel arches. The Saga concept SUV will be based on the new design language.
Hyundai launched the new Creta in the Indian market in May 2018. The updated SUV features a new front end with a larger cascading grille, new bumper, a silver skid plate and new fog lamp housing. The top-spec SX(O) trim is equipped with an electric sunroof, cruise control and many more features.
Thoughts On The Hyundai Creta Diamond Edition
The new Hyundai Creta Diamond Edition will be the new top-spec variant of the SUV. Expect the Creta Diamond Edition to feature unique design elements and new features as compared to the currently sold model. Hyundai might also introduce the Diamond Edition in the Indian market as the Creta is the segment-leader in the country.
