Ford EcoSport Gets New Features — Prices Increased
Ford has updated the features on the EcoSport facelift which was launched in India in November 2017.
Ford launched the facelifted EcoSport in India in November 2017. Now, after five months of its launch, Ford has updated the features of the compact SUV. Yes, TeamBHP reports that Ford has updated the equipment list of the EcoSport and has increased the prices of the SUV.
Ford India has increased the prices of the new EcoSport by Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 depending on the variant. Below is the detailed updated price list of the EcoSport after getting new equipment and features.

The Ford EcoSport now comes with features such as rear parking sensors, speed sensing auto door lock and passenger seatbelt reminder as standard across all the variants. The Trend variant gets an additional feature in the form of rearview camera.

Ford has also updated the touchscreen infotainment system to a 9-inch unit with SYNC3 and navigation. All the variants of the EcoSport get the updated infotainment system except for the base Ambiente trim.
Another update comes in the form of ambient lighting and My Key. Both these features are no longer available on the Titanium trim. The two features are now offered on the top-spec Titanium+ variant. Apart from that, there are no changes done to the equipment of the compact SUV.
Mechanically, the Ford EcoSport facelift remains the same. The compact SUV draws power from the same 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol and 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel engines. The new Dragon series petrol engine produces 122bhp and 150Nm of torque.
The diesel engine of the EcoSport facelift produces 98.6bhp and 205Nm of torque. The petrol engine is mated to a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox and the diesel engine comes paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Thoughts On The Ford EcoSport Features Update And Price Hike
Ford has updated the equipment on the new EcoSport which was launched five months ago in the Indian market. The biggest advantage is that all the variants except for the base Ambiente trim now features an updated infotainment system. So, we can say that paying a few extra thousand rupees is worth with the updated features and equipment.
