Auto Expo 2018: Renault To Showcase New Duster And Kwid Facelift
French automaker Renault is gearing for the Auto Expo 2018 and is all set to showcase new models at the biggest auto show in the country.
French automaker Renault is gearing for the Auto Expo 2018 and is all set to showcase new models at the biggest auto show in the country. Overdrive reports that Renault will unveil the all-new Duster and the Kwid facelift at the 2018 Auto Expo.
The new 2018 iteration of the Duster compact SUV features several changes to the exterior and interior design. Despite getting new design elements, the overall silhouette retains the looks of the previous model. The updated SUV features new front and rear profile.
The front end of the new 2018 Duster features projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights, redesigned grille, revamped bumper with faux skid plate and fog lamp. The side profile of the updated compact SUV sports flared wheel arches and 17-inch alloy wheels. All these changes render the SUV a refreshed look while retaining the original Duster design.

The rear section of the 2018 Duster features a newly designed tail lamp cluster, revamped tailgate and a new bumper with skid plate and reflectors at either side. The 2018 Duster looks butch and muscular, thanks to the additional lines and creases on the bonnet and body.
The interior of the new Renault Duster also gets a new design and features in the form of a new touchscreen infotainment system, new steering wheel, octagonal AC vents and chrome accents on the steering wheel, AC vents and dashboard. The cabin has better insulation to reduce noise from outside the SUV.
On the mechanical front, the 2018 Duster is expected to draw power from the existing 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines coupled to a manual or automatic gearbox. The 2018 Duster is likely to be launched by the end of 2018 in India and will be slotted below the recently launched Captur.
Apart from the 2018 Duster, Renault will also showcase the Kwid facelift hatchback with subtle cosmetic changes. The new 2018 Kwid is likely to come with new features. The facelifted model is expected to utilise the existing 0.8-litre and 1-litre engine with the optional AMT gearbox.
DriveSpark Thinks!
The new 2018 Renault Duster is said to be one of the biggest launches of 2018 in the Indian market as the currently sold model is ageing with time. The new 2018 Duster is expected to inject a new life to the French automaker in the country. The Kwid facelift will not be an all-new model, but will sport updated exterior design and new features. We expect the 2018 Duster to be launched in India by the end of 2018.
