Volvo XC60 Launched In India
Volvo XC60 launched in India. The new Volvo XC60 is priced at Rs 55.90 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). The new-generation XC60 is based on the Volvo's latest Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform, comes in only one variant: Inscription.
The newly launched Volvo XC60 is the second-generation model for India and replaces the older version which is on sale since 2011. The new Volvo XC60 will rival the likes of Audi Q5, BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC, Jaguar F-Pace, and the upcoming Lexus NX300h.

Mechanically, the Volvo XC60 is powered by a 1,969cc four-cylinder twin-turbocharged diesel engine that produces 233bhp @ 4,000rpm and 480Nm of torque @ 1,750 - 2,250 rpm. The diesel engine comes mated to an 8-speed Geartronic automatic gearbox which sends power to all four wheels.
The new XC60 borrows most of the styling cues from Volvo's flagship vehicle, XC90. At the front, the new XC60 comes with the company's signature multi-slat chrome grille, flanked by a pair of LED headlamps along with Thor's hammer LED daytime running lamps.
The chiselled front bumper comes with some subtle lines, and with the wide central air dam and some stylish chrome elements on either side, the new XC60 looks a lot more stylish compared to the previous model. The SUV also receives a couple of small LED foglamps as well.
The Volvo XC60 measures 4688 mm in length, 1902 mm in width and 1658 mm in height, and comes with a wheelbase of 2865 mm in dimension. The broad shoulder lines, prominent character lines and along with the stylish set of alloy wheels, the XC60 looks shorter yet elegant and upmarket.
At the rear, the SUV gets all-new looks, again in line with the XC90, with vertically styled LED taillamps, a roof-mounted spoiler, and a chunky rear bumper and chrome articulations along the reflectors as well as the chrome-tipped horizontal dual exhaust pipes.
Regarding features, the new Volvo XC60 gets segment first cooled/ heated front seats with a massage function. The SUV also comes with a 9.0-inch centre Sensus touchscreen system as well as driver assists features such as 360-degree camera, blind-spot assist, semi-automatic parking, and lane departure warning.
Additionally, there are also the radar-based safety features like the adaptive cruise control.
