Volvo S60 Polestar Launched In India — Priced At Rs 52.5 Lakh

Swedish automaker Volvo has launched the S60 Polestar in the Indian market. Polestar is Volvo's performance brand, similar to the AMG brand from Mercedes-Benz.
The Volvo S60 Polestar is priced at Rs 52.5 lakh Ex-showroom (Delhi). This is the first performance car from the Swedish company in the Indian market. The S60 Polestar will be added to the currently sold S60 range.
The newly launched Volvo S60 Polestar is powered by a 2-litre four cylinder petrol engine producing 362bhp and 470Nm of peak torque. The engine is coupled to an 8-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters.
The Polestar variant of the S60 gets bigger air intakes and turbocharger and electrically controlled air flaps. The car can sprint from 0-100km/h in just 4.7 seconds, and the top speed is limited to 250km/h.
The suspension of the S60 Polestar is 80 percent stiffer compared to the standard variant of the car. The car also gets carbon fibre strut braces for improved steering feel and control. The front bumper exerts a downforce of 31kg at 250km/h and 15kg at the rear.
The interior of the car features sports seat, carbon-fibre inserts and leather upholstery. The S60 Polestar also gets an infotainment display, and chrome finished gear lever with Polestar branding.
The S60 Polestar gets bigger brakes and 20-inch Polestar alloy wheels. The performance sedan from Volvo will go head on against the likes of Mercedes-AMG C43 in the Indian market.
