Volvo Turns XC60 Into A Luxury Solar Eclipse Viewing Lounge
Volvo is now selling an eclipse viewer for the XC60 in the US so people can view the solar eclipse from within the SUV.
This Monday (August 21) will be the first time in 38 years that some parts in the US will witness a total solar eclipse. While the majority will witness the event behind secure sunglasses, Volvo is offering an exclusive opportunity.
Volvo has come up with a custom-made eclipse viewer that attaches to the XC60's roof magnetically. The eclipse viewer will be sold through a few Volvo dealerships in Oregon, Idaho, Nebraska, Missouri, and South Carolina, and is ISO-certified.
The eclipse viewer will convert the standard panoramic sunroof of the XC60 into a luxury lounge, allowing five people to view the solar eclipse in comfort. Also, Volvo will even live stream the entire eclipse in 4k on its 'Racing The Sun' website.
