Volvo Hikes Prices In India By Up To 2.5 Percent
Volvo Auto India has hiked the prices across its product portfolio by 2.5 percent. The reason behind the hike in prices is the increase in input costs.
The Indian wing of the Swedish car maker, Volvo Auto India has hiked the prices across its product portfolio in the country. The bump in the prices in because of the increase in input costs.

In a statement, Volvo said, "All the models would undergo an upward revision in the ex-showroom prices by up to 2.5 percent." The most affordable model from the company, the V40 D3 Kinetic received a price hike of Rs 54,750.

Volvo's flagship model in the country, the XC90 T8 Excellence received a price hike of Rs 2.5 lakh. The plug-in hybrid SUV will now cost Rs 1.27 crore Ex-showroom (Delhi).

Stating the reason behind the price hike, Volvo said, "The increase is due to rise in input costs which affect all models sold in India. The revised prices will be effective from April 1, 2017.

The latest addition to the Volvo's product portfolio, the S90 also gets a bump in the price by Rs 1 lakh. Currently the S90 costs Rs 54.50 lakh Ex-showroom (Delhi). But the S90 is still a good deal compared to its rivals.

Volvo Cars India has a complete range of products in the country. The products include hatchbacks, crossovers, sedans and SUVs. The company has also introduced a plug-in hybrid SUV in the country.
