Volkswagen Tiguan Revealed In Leaked Images From Dealer Training Sessions
Dealer training for the Volkswagen Tiguan has begun and is currently underway suggesting the launch of the SUV in India is imminent.
The second-generation Volkswagen Tiguan compact crossover SUV is all set to be launched in India. The Tiguan is currently the only SUV from the German carmaker in its India product portfolio.

As per Team-BHP, dealer training for the Volkswagen Tiguan has begun and is now underway suggesting the launch of the SUV in India is imminent. Volkswagen is expected to launch the Tiguan later this month.

The SUV is based on Volkswagen Group's modular MQB platform which underpins the Audi Q3 as well. The lightweight MQB platform has helped VW to reduce the Tiguan's weight close to 50kg as opposed to the outgoing model.

For India, the VW Tiguan is expected to be powered by a 2.0-litre, four cylinder TDI diesel mill. The oil burner produces 147bhp and comes paired to a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox.

More images of the Tiguan have surfaced offering a glimpse into the India-bound model. The interiors will likely come with an all-black dashboard, while the three-spoke steering wheel is integrated with audio and telephony functions as well as cruise control.

Additionally, the Tiguan is likely to feature touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

Volkswagen will bring the Tiguan via the Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kit route and will be assembled at the company's Aurangabad plant. Once launched, the Tiguan will lock horns with Hyundai Tucson and Jeep Compass.
