Skoda To Recall Over 40,000 Cars In The Land Of Putin
Russian standards agency has revealed that Volkswagen is set to recall Skoda cars in Russia over hydraulic system issue. The affected models are sold between 2012 to 2016.
Russian standards agency has revealed that Volkswagen is set to recall 43,151 Skoda cars in Russia due to a hydraulic system issue.

The Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart) revealed that Volkswagen Group Rus would recall Skoda Octavia, Superb, Yeti and Rapid sold from 2012 to 2016 in Russia.

The reason for this recall is due to high pressure in the hydraulic system of the cars mentioned above.

The report further read, "The reason of recalling Skoda Octavia, Superb, Fabia, Yeti and Rapid cars with 7-speed DSG gearbox is the potential damage of pressure accumulator because of high pressure in the hydraulic system."

The high pressure in the hydraulic system leads to non-tightness in the systems and triggers the indicator lamp. The gearbox control unit software will be updated in the recalled vehicles. The repair work will be carried out free of charge.
