German auto major Volkswagen has issued a massive global recall over brake system software issue.

Volkswagen has recalled 7,66,000 vehicles of its passenger car brands around the world to update the software of the braking control system.

In the affected vehicles, the braking control system might not perform correctly in certain driving conditions. When a driver oversteers, understeers or slams on the brake, the system is prone to malfunction.
Volkswagen has recalled 2,88,000 Volkswagen brand cars in Germany. With the Audi and Skoda brands included the total tally goes up to 3,85,000 vehicles.
