The videos of the Renault Captur reveal the exterior design elements of the SUV which will be positioned above the Renault Duster in India. The Captur is expected to rival the likes of Hyundai Creta and could even compete with the base model of the Jeep Compass.

In the first teaser, Renault reveals the gloss black grille with four slats and chrome accents on each of the slates of the Captur. The second teaser video shows the design of the machine cut alloy wheels of the Captur SUV.

The third video shows the twin setup of the headlamp of the upcoming Renault Captur along with the LED sweeping or animated turn signals much like the Audi cars. The fourth video teaser of the Captur shows the taillight with LED lighting and elements of the taillight cluster.

The Renault Captur will sport all the ingredients of a compact SUV such as plastic cladding on the side, skid plates at the front and rear as well as the high riding position of an SUV.Renault has not revealed the interiors or the engine specifications of the Captur. We expect the Captur to feature a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system seen in the Duster. Also, the Captur could come with automatic climate control and a multifunctional steering wheel.

Mechanically, the India-spec Renault Captur is expected to be offered with 1.5-litre petrol and diesel units. The engine will come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, and an automatic gearbox will be added later.
