Valtteri Bottas To Stay With Mercedes For 2018 Formula One Season
28-year-old Valtteri Bottas will stay with Mercedes-AMG team for the 2018 season.
The Mercedes Formula One team has confirmed that Valtteri Bottas will stay with the same team and continue to race for Mercedes for the 2018 Formula one season.
Bottas, speaking of the development said, "I am honoured and proud to continue to work with Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport in 2018 and to remain part of the Mercedes family. When the team hired me for the 2017 season, they took a leap of faith by putting their trust in my skills."
"His performances and his upward trajectory made it a no-brainer to continue for 2018", said Mercedes-AMG team boss, Toto Wolff.
28-year-old Bottas joined the Mercedes-AMG Formula One team after Nico Rosberg announced his retirement last year, after claiming the 2016 championship. Bottas was signed up to a one-year contract to replace Nico, and now the extension is good news.
