Upcoming Renault Cars In India; Expected Launch Date & Price
Upcoming Renault cars in India with expected launch date and price.
Renault India's product lineup includes just three vehicles: Duster, Lodgy and the Kwid hatchback. Recently, the French carmaker unveiled the Captur SUV in India and the fourth model to join the portfolio.
Renault India managing director Sumit Sawhney confirmed to ET Auto that the company would launch new models every year including the upcoming cars.
Here are the upcoming Renault cars in India with their expected launch date and price:
Renault Captur
The recently unveiled Renault Captur is a premium SUV with crossover DNA. The Captur (pronounced as Capture) will rival the likes of Mahindra XUV500 and the Hyundai Creta in the Indian market.
The Renault Captur looks upmarket and stylish and is built on the Duster platform. The India-spec Captur is engineered significantly at the company's R&D centre in Chennai.
The crossover boasts of premium features like the smart access card and engine start button. Additionally, there is a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system which features radio and Bluetooth technology, voice recognition (for iOS), maps along with temperature and time display.

Renault RBC MPV
Renault India's next launch after the Captur will be a 7-seater MPV code-named RBC. This MPV will rival the likes of the successful Maruti Ertiga in the market.
Despite having an MPV in Renault India's product lineup, the Lodgy has not been very successful. The Maruti Ertiga and Toyota Innova have proven to be strong models. To take on this segment, Renault plans to launch a new MPV.
The Renault RBC MPV is expected to feature a crossover DNA with flared wheel arches and muscular styling. The new MPV from Renault will be underpinned by the low-cost platform CMF-A and will be positioned below the Duster, making the new MPV a lot competitive in pricing.

Renault Duster Facelift
Renault's European brand Dacia recently unveiled the all-new Duster. The new Duster or the facelift looks similar to the styling of the current model but looks evolved and fresh.
The new Duster is expected to be roomier with a redesigned cabin. Renault has moved the windshield ahead by 100mm, giving more room inside the cabin. Renault is expected to offer both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive layouts in the new Duster.
Apart from the design, the new Renault Duster is expected to come with new features on the inside as well. We expect a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a host of other comfort and convenience features.

DriveSpark Thinks!
All the three upcoming Renault cars in India will be powered by the 1.5-litre petrol and turbo diesel engines and will be underpinned by the CMF-A platform. We expect Renault to price the model aggressively as it looks to retain its market share of 5 percent and probably increase it.
