Upcoming car launches in January 2018.
As the year 2017 draws to a close, the Indian automotive industry witnessed some of the best car launches such as the Jeep Compass, Tata Nexon, new Hyundai Verna, Honda WR-V among others. Car buyers will be again treated to new car launches in 2018 especially in January.
Here is the list of upcoming car launches in January 2018 along with their key specs, features, expected price, images and more details:
Datsun Redi-GO AMT
Datsun's leading contributor to its sales, the Redi-GO is currently available with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The company is all set to launch the AMT variant of the Redi-GO in January 2018.

The Redi-GO AMT variant will be powered by the 1.0-litre engine which does duties in the manual gearbox variant as well as the Renault Kwid hatchback. The unit produces 67bhp and 91Nm of torque. The Redi-GO AMT is expected to cost Rs 30,000 more than the regular model.

Mahindra TUV300 Plus
Mahindra is adding more utility vehicles (UVs) to its product lineup in India with the new TUV300 Plus. As the name suggests, the TUV300 Plus is based on the TUV300, but with a longer wheelbase to fit the third row in the UV.
The Mahindra TUV300 Plus has already been spotted several times testing in India, and the company is expected to launch the vehicle in January 2018. The TUV300 Plus will be powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine producing 118bhp and 280Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. An AMT variant of the TUV300 Plus is expected to be launched at a later date.
Lamborghini Urus
Regarded as the only Super Sports Utility Vehicle (SSUV), the Lamborghini Urus was revealed to the world in December 2017 and is all set to be launched in India on January 11, 2018. The Urus is the first car from Lamborghini to feature a turbocharged engine.
The Urus is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 unit churning out 641bhp and 850Nm of torque mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox, sending the power to all four wheels. The Italian company claims the SSUV can sprint to 100km/h in just 3.6 seconds from standstill with a top speed of 306km/h.

Lexus LS 500h
Lexus, Toyota's luxury brand, will launch the LS 500h sedan in India on January 15, 2018. The sedan will be powered by a hybrid 3.5-litre V6 engine, assisted by two electric motors; together they churn out 354bhp. The engine is mated to an e-CVT automatic gearbox helping the LS 500h to sprint to 100km/h in 5.2 seconds from standstill.

The Lexus LS 500h will rival the likes of BMW 7-Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class and is expected to cost between Rs 1.5 crore and Rs 1.8 crore.
Audi Q5
Audi will launch the new Q5 in India on January 18, 2018. The new Q5 is lighter by 100kg, and the SUV gets a modern and sculpted design language compared to the outgoing model. The Q5 also gets a new single-frame grille along with Matrix LED headlights and LED tail lamps.
The new Audi Q5 will be offered with a 2.0-litre diesel engine developing 163bhp on one variant, and 190bhp and 400Nm of torque in another variant. The company is expected to add a petrol engine with 2.0-litre displacement producing 252bhp. The new Q5 will compete with the upcoming BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC and the Volvo XC60 in India.

Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo
Porsche will launch the Panamera Sport Turismo in India in January 2018, and as the regular Panamera, the Sport Turismo will be offered with a turbocharged unit.
The Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo is priced at Rs 2.8 crore ex-showroom (India), while Porsche will also launch the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo as well with a price tag of Rs 2.38 crore ex-showroom (India).
The Sport Turismo is the shooting brake version of the regular Panamera featuring raked roofline, more massive tailgate, additional boot space of 50 litres and low loading sill. The Panamera Sport Turismo will be offered in a 4+1-seater layout.
