Toyota Working On Flying Car — Flying Start?
Toyota, along with Cartivator Resource Management is working on a flying car, planned for 2019.
Japanese carmaker Toyota is working on a flying car, in association with Cartivator Resource Management, in which Toyota invested 42.5 million yen.
The carmaker showed a contraption made of aluminium framing and propellers, that did a test flight last week.

The contraption took off several times, flying at eye level before falling to the ground. Basketballs attached at the bottom acted as a cushion.

According to Tsubasa Nakamura, the project head at Cartivator, the company's goal is to achieve seamless transformation from driving to flying, so that a small car can fly and light the Olympic Torch at the 2020 games in Japan.

Nakamura said that the unmanned model is planned for the year 2019. The Japanese carmaker has also been investing in things other than automobiles, such as robots and houses, and recently unveiled the Lexus brand luxury boat.
