Japanese carmaker Toyota has revealed the facelifted Land Cruiser Prado at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. The new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado features new exterior styling along with a new interior featuring a new infotainment system.
The new Land Cruiser Prado SUV gets a taller front bumper along with a new bonnet, new headlights with LED daytime running lights and a redesigned grille. Also new are the taillights and the rear bumper along with 12-spoke 19-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado gets a new dashboard along with a new instrument binnacle, centre console layout, steering wheel, and revised switchgear. The Prado also features a brand new 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen display along with ambient lighting.
Under the bonnet, the Land Cruiser Prado remains unchanged with a 2.8-litre four-cylinder diesel producing 174.5bhp and 450Nm of torque (420Nm with the manual), a 2.7-litre four-cylinder petrol kicking out 159bhp and 245Nm of torque while the range-topping 4.0-litre engine makes 249hp and 380Nm of torque.
Gearbox options for the petrol include a 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic while the diesel gets 6-speed manual and automatic options for the transmission.
The facelifted Toyota Land Cruiser Prado gets design tweaks both inside and out which along with the new infotainment system giving Toyota's massive SUV a more modern feel, which was something the SUV needed for a while now.
