The new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado facelift receives redesigned front profile as well as interiors.

Leaked images of the 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado gives us an early look at the refresh Toyota is preparing for the smaller Land Cruiser.

Instagram user hamad1two3 shared images which have revealed what the exterior and interior of the 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado would look. The images are a comparison of the 2014 and the 2018 model.

The fourth generation Toyota Prado is receiving its second facelift which arrived in 2009. Toyota has completely redesigned the front profile of the Prado with sleeker and more aggressive headlights, a prominent 5-slot grille, and more stylish full-width chrome strip which sits above the headlamps and upper grille.

The front bumper is a lot chunkier, the lower grille and the fog lamps have been redesigned. At the rear profile, the 2018 Prado's taillights receive black surrounds and have new graphics, and the skid plate and roof spoiler have been redesigned as well.

Toyota has reworked the interiors of the 2018 Prado with a new four-spoked steering seems to have been borrowed from its bigger brother the Toyota Land Cruiser 200. The centre console, instrument panel, and the infotainment system are new revealing a premium touch.

The powertrains are expected to remain the same as the previous model. The current model is powered by multiple petrol and diesel units. This includes the 2TR-FE 2.7-litre four-cylinder petrol, 7GR-FKS 3.5-litre V6 petrol, 1GR-FE 4.0-litre V6 petrol, 1GD-FTV 2.8-litre four-cylinder, diesel, 1KD-FTV 3.0-litre four-cylinder diesel and 5L-E 3.0-litre four-cylinder diesel units.

Toyota will upgrade the new Prado with a host of safety and autonomous functions such as the Toyota Safety Sense P suite of advanced features, including Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection function, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist function, Automatic High Beams and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, as standard.

While Toyota has been at the forefront in offering some of the premium vehicles in India, the Land Cruiser has come under severe competition. With the 2018 Prado, Toyota might not bring the SUV to India as the Fortuner is leading their SUV charge in the country.
