Toyota's Best-Selling Model In India Is No Surprise
Within 12 months of its launch, the Toyota Innova Crysta sold 85,000 units becoming the best-selling car in its category.
Toyota Kirloskar India sold 85,000 units of Innova Crysta MPV within 12 months. The much-loved Innova Crysta became the best-selling car in its class by registering a year on year growth of 43.17 percent.

With the phenomenal sales of the Innova Crysta, the MPV is the best-selling Toyota model in the Indian market. Although the next-generation Innova Crysta retails at a premium pricing compared to the older generation, the Innova Crysta is being sold in surprisingly massive numbers.

The Toyota Innova Crysta was launched with the price tag of Rs 13.83 lakh ex-showroom (Mumbai) for the base variant, while the recently launched Touring Sport was launched with prices starting at Rs 17.79 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).

The Innova Crysta is offered with both petrol and diesel powertrains. While a 2.7-litre unit powers the petrol model, the diesel model is available in 2.4-litre and 2.8-litre mills.

The 2.4-litre diesel unit churns out 148bhp and 343Nm of torque and comes paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The 2.8-litre diesel motor produces 172bhp and 360Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

As for the petrol 2.7-litre unit, it churns out 164bhp and 245Nm of torque. The engine is available with both 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox.
