India's Best-Selling Sedan Revealed

The company has registered 19 percent increase in sales compared to its nearest rival, Honda City. Maruti sold 53,644 units of Ciaz for the period April 2016 to January 2017, barring few months, the Ciaz outsold the Honda City most of the months during the period.

Maruti Suzuki was the first offer the mild hybrid technology on a sedan, making the Ciaz diesel Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki (SHVS) as India's most fuel efficient diesel car.

The Maruti Ciaz comes with the option of dual airbags and ABS across all variants. The Ciaz comes with the option of either petrol or diesel powertrains. While the petrol unit is a 1.4-litre K14 VVT producing 91.18bhp and 130Nm of torque, the diesel motor is the 1.3-litre DDiS200 developing 88.50bhp and 200Nm of torque.

Maruti offers the Ciaz in both manual and automatic gearbox, while the diesel variant is paired with the 5-speed manual gearbox, the petrol version comes with the choice of either the 5-speed manual or the 4-speed automatic gearbox.

The company introduced the Ciaz RS variant in October 2015 featuring black interiors and grey chrome finish instrument panel. On the exterior, the Maruti Ciaz RS features front, side and rear skirts and boot lid spoiler.

The Maruti Ciaz RS is available with all the features and benefits of the Ciaz Z+ and is available in both petrol and smart hybrid diesel versions.

Prices of the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz starts from Rs 7.72 lakh to Rs 10.52 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).
