Tesla Semi Violently Shows Off Brisk 0–60mph Acceleration
Videos have emerged of the Tesla Semi showing off its rather brisk acceleration.
Tesla revealed the Semi electric truck, its first-ever commercial vehicle last week at an event in Los Angeles. However, the Semi's reveal was overshadowed by the arrival of the 2020 Tesla Roadster with its insanely quick acceleration times, top speed and range.
However, videos of the Semi have finally emerged from the unveiling which show the electric truck showing off its brisk acceleration figures.
On stage at the unveiling, Tesla CEO Elon Musk had claimed that the new Semi would sprint from 0-60mph (96.5kph) in just five seconds which is faster than most hot hatches and performance SUVs in the market today.

The video of the Tesla Semi showing off its brisk acceleration at the Los Angeles location of the unveil as it takes what appears to be potential customers on a joyride in the optional second seat. While we don't have a timer or a view of the truck's speedo, the video does prove beyond doubt, that the Tesla Semi will be mighty quick off the line any way you look at it.

Tesla recently revealed the price for the Semi electric truck. Starting at $150,000 (Rs 96.82 lakh) for the 300-mile range version of the truck which isn't that far off from the price its diesel rivals.

DriveSpark Thinks!
The Tesla Semi looks like it will be really brisk off the line. If it lives up to the rest of Elon Musk's promises from its unveiling, then the Semi could very well be a game changer in the trucking industry.
