Tata Motors has launched a new variant of its compact sedan, the Tigor, named as the Tigor XM. The Tigor XM is priced at Rs 4.99 lakh for the petrol version and the diesel variant carries a price tag of Rs 5.80 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom (Delhi).
The new Tata Tigor XM trim will be slotted between the XE and XT trims. The XM trim also gets nine important features.
The Tigor XM sits above the base variant and gets features such as manual central locking with key, power windows for front and rear, speed dependent auto door locks, follow me home lamps, LED fuel gauge, full fabric seat upholstery, interior lights with theatre dimming and full wheel covers.
The Tigor XM also sports Connectnext infotainment system by Harman with eight speakers. The XM trim of the compact sedan is available in Copper Dazzle, Espresso Brown, Pearlescent White, Platinum Silver, Striker Blue and Berry Red colour schemes.
The Tigor XM draws power from the existing 1.2-litre petrol and 1.05-litre diesel engine. The petrol motor produces 84bhp and 114Nm of torque. The oil burner churns out 69bhp and 140Nm of torque. Both the engines come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The XM trim is not available in the AMT transmission option.

Tata Motors has launched the new XM trim of the Tigor for the upcoming festive season. It gets nine important features and sits above the XE base variant. The automaker will also launch the Nexon sub-compact SUV in India on September 21, 2017. The Tigor XM will rival the likes of Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Xcent and Honda Amaze.
