Tata Tigor AMT India Launch Soon
Tata Motors has stated that the Tigor AMT will be launched in the near future in the Indian market. Read more to get all the details about the AMT variant of the compact sedan.
Indian automaker Tata Motors recently launched the Tigor Styleback in the Indian market. Within a month of its launch, the sedan received a positive response from the Indian customers.
Tata Motors has already delivered 3,011 units of Tigor in March 2017. The company has branded the car as a styleback, and the AMT version of the car will be launched soon in the Indian market.
Speaking to IAB, Tata Motors' Marketing Head, Vivek Srivatsa stated that the Tigor AMT would be launched soon in the Indian market. The company recently launched the Tiago AMT and it has received a good response.
The Tiago AMT is only available in the petrol variant. And its is expected that the Tigor AMT will also be offered with the petrol engine. The Tigor AMT will also feature a Sport mode which will add to the appeal of the sedan.
The petrol variant of the Tigor is powered by a 1.2-litre three cylinder engine churning out 83bhp and 114Nm of torque. The engine will be mated to a 5-speed AMT transmission.
The Tigor is based on the same Impact design language, and the front fascia of the sedan looks similar to its hatchback sibling, the Tiago. The rear section of the Tigor is unique and Tata Motors has put a lot of effort on the design front.
Tata Tigor comes loaded with features such as projector headlamps, 15-inch alloy wheels, touchscreen infotainment system, multi-function steering wheel and Harman music system.
