Tata Nexon India launch has been scheduled for September 21, 2017. The Nexon sub-compact SUV production has begun at the Ranjangaon plant in Pune while bookings have begun at all dealerships in the country.
The deliveries of the Tata Nexon is likely to commence by the end of September 2017 and the Nexon is expected to be offered in base XE, XM, XT, XZ and XZ+ variants.
Tata Motors has developed an all-new 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine to power the Nexon SUV, while the petrol engine, which powers the Tiago and the Tigor, is the 1.2-litre Revotron unit developing 108.5bhp and 170Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre diesel engine produces 108.5bhp and 260Nm of torque.
At the launch, Tata Motors is expected to offer only a 6-speed manual gearbox, while the AMT is projected to be offered at a later stage. Both the diesel and the petrol engines feature three driving modes: Economy, City, and Sport - with City offering the best balance between economy and performance.

The Tata Nexon looks muscular, and with its coupe-like roofline, the Nexon does stand apart from its rivals such as the Maruti Brezza and Ford EcoSport. Inside the cabin, the Tata Nexon features a floating touchscreen infotainment system that is usually seen in luxury cars.
Tata Motors had loaded the Nexon with premium features such as 6.5-inch HD touchscreen system which connects to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and eight-speaker Harman infotainment system on top-spec models. DriveSpark Thinks!
We expect the Tata Nexon to be priced in the range of Rs 7 to 10 lakh and with this pricing, the Nexon is expected the undercut the demand for the current market leader Maruti Brezza. Most of all, the Nexon is feature rich and has a petrol model as well, which the Brezza misses out. Stay tuned to DriveSpark as we bring live coverage of the Tata Nexon India launch on September 21, 2017.
