Spy Pics: Tata Nexon Base Variant Interior Leaked

Indian automaker Tata Motors is all set to introduce its new compact SUV, the Nexon in the Indian market. Ahead of that the base variant of the vehicle was spotted testing.
Motoroids has spotted the Tata Nexon which was on a public road test. The new spy images also reveal the interior of the base variant Nexon.
Several units of Tata Nexon's were being towed heading towards Vehicle Research and Development Establishment (VRDE) for approval. The driver of the Nexon also revealed that the vehicle returned a mileage of 24-26kmpl.
But is not known whether petrol or diesel engine was under the bonnet of the spotted model. By looking at the spy images, the model spotted is the base variant of the compact SUV.
The entry-level trim of the Tata Nexon is equipped with steel wheels. The roof of the compact SUV features shark-fin antenna.
The interior of the Nexon base variant feature dual-tone theme. The interior spy shots also reveal that the SUV gets a 5-speed manual gearbox and three drive modes - City, Eco and Sport.
But there is no confirmation about the engine options on the Nexon. But it is likely to draw power from a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5-litre turbocharged oil burner.
Tata Motors is expected to launch the Nexon in India by the end of this year. Once launched, the compact SUV will lock horns with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV 300.
