Tata Hexa Demonstrates Extreme Off-Roading Capabilities; Crosses A River In Heavy Rain
Tata Hexa has demonstrated its extreme off-roading capabilities by crossing a river in heavy rain.
Indian automaker Tata Motors launched the Hexa in India in January 2017. The crossover SUV is based on the company's Impact Design Philosophy.
The Hexa is a combination of an SUV and an MPV, with spacious interior capable of accommodating seven people and at the same time, it offers the performance of an SUV.
The Tata Hexa draws power from a 2.2-litre VARICOR diesel engine producing 148bhp and 320Nm of torque in the XE trim. The XM and XT trim gets a better power output of 154bhp and 400Nm of torque.
Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The SUV is offered in both 4x2 and 4x4 variants. Now, a Youtuber has demonstrated how all these technical specifications translates in the real world.

The Hexa almost gets submerged in the water but still manages to cope up with the water crossing with utmost ease. The Hexa seen in the video is the top-spec model equipped with projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights and alloy wheels.
Tata Hexa is based on the hydroformed ladder-frame chassis which seems to work very well in the videos. The SUV easily crosses the deep river crossing and shows its extreme off-roading capabilities.
