Tata Hexa Downtown Urban Edition revealed. The special edition Tata Hexa receives more equipment and cosmetic updates on the exterior as well as on the interiors.
The Hexa Downtown Urban Edition is also better equipped in regards to kit compared to the regular Hexa. The special edition Hexa is available in a new Urban Bronze exterior finish and with two package options: Absolute and Indulge.

Both the packages add chrome accents to the headlamp and taillights surrounds, and on the sides and the Outside Rear View Mirrors (ORVMs). The Hexa special edition also features the Downtown badges, side steps, wireless smartphone charging, a carpet set and a car care kit.

The Tata Hexa is available in XE, XM, XMA, XT and XTA variants. While the Absolute package adds new tan seat covers in the lower-spec XE, XM, and XMA variants, the Indulge package adds new 16-alloy wheels to the lower-spec trims.

The XT and the XTA top-spec variants, with the Indulge package, come with two Blaupunkt 10.1-inch infotainment screens for the rear and a dashboard-mounted heads-up display with speed limit alerts, battery voltage, and tyre pressure information.

The Tata Hexa Downtown Urban Edition continues to be powered by the same 2.2-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-diesel engine producing 149bhp and 320Nm of torque in the XE trim, and 155bhp and 400Nm of torque on the remaining variants.

The XE variant of the Tata Hexa is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the XM and XT variants get a choice of a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox. The XT top variant also comes with four-wheel drive option.

Tata Motors is looking to increase the appeal of the Hexa with the Downtown Urban Edition to take on several competitors in the market. Rivals such as the Mahindra XUV and the petrol variant of the Jeep Compass have made inroads regarding market share, and Tata Motors would want to offer a feature rich Hexa with the special edition.
