Suzuki Jimny leaked images emerge online.
Ahead of its official reveal, pictures of the next-generation Suzuki Jimny have surfaced online. The new Suzuki Jimny SUV is expected to debut at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show in October.
The current third generation Jimny has been around since 1998, and it's due for the next-generation Jimny. The leaked images revealed by Motor1 of the Jimny reveal the new design language of the SUV.The new Jimny boasts of boxy dimensions, while it hasn't strayed too much from its current dimensions. The lines are much more angular and feature a stand out front grille with vertical slats.
Inside the cabin of the new Suzuki Jimny, the leaked images reveal a highly modern cabin compared to the current third generation. The interior features a touchscreen infotainment system with the SmartPlay interface which will support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The steering wheel and the air vents resemble the new and upcoming Swift hatchback.

With not many details of the specifications of the new Jimny, we expect the Jimny to be built on a ladder frame chassis and will come equipped with Suzuki's Allgrip Pro 4x4 system for enhanced capabilities.
The new Jimny is expected to be powered by the 1-litre BoosterJet turbocharged petrol, as well as the 1.2-litre petrol options. There are reports that the new Jimny could be offered with a 0.66-litre petrol engine to be sold in certain markets.
DriveSpark Thinks!
India was introduced to the three-door Maruti Suzuki Gypsy and was an instant hit in the market. But Maruti or its parent company Suzuki have not introduced a three-door vehicle since then. We hope the Suzuki Jimny makes it to India with the current rage for SUVs.
