Suzuki Indonesia has showcased the Ignis S-Urban concept at the 2017 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS).
The Ignis S-Urban concept is an off-roader iteration of the crossover hatchback. The hatchback looks rugged with the addition of new cosmetic components such as the plastic cladding.
The Ignis S-Urban concept features custom off-road bumper with new auxiliary lights and a new front grille inspired by the XA Alpha concept. The concept model also gets the skid plate and plastic cladding.
The bonnet of the Ignis S-Urban concept features an air scoop. The concept model is equipped with custom off-road tyres. The ride height has been raised for more ground clearance for off-roading.
Apart from that the Ignis S-Urban concept if fitted with roof rails and the rear end features new bumper, diffuser and plastic cladding to enhance the rugged look of the vehicle.
The Ignis S-Urban concept draws power from the existing 1.2-litre K Series petrol engine producing 82bhp and 113Nm of torque. The engine is coupled to a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox.
The Ignis S-Urban concept looks rugged and muscular compared to its standard model. Maruti Suzuki already offers a host of customisation options for the hatchback, and similarly, the S-Urban kit can also be offered. It will lure more customers who are looking for a funky looking off-road car.
