Subaru BRZ STI Teased Ahead Of Launch
Japanese carmaker Subaru has teased the go-faster STI version of the BRZ sports car ahead of its launch.
Japanese carmaker Subaru has teased the upcoming go-faster variant of its BRZ sports car ahead of its launch.
The BRZ STi is expected to be a more fine-tuned version of the regular BRZ with a few mechanical and cosmetic upgrades when it launches on June 8.
The teaser image released by Subaru for the new BRZ STI shows off the rear wing of the new BRZ STI. The rear wing appears to be a carbon-fibre piece with the STI badge embossed on the sides.
The new BRZ STi could get a bump up in power compared to the regular car which pushes out 202bhp from its naturally aspirated 2.0-litre flat four engine. The new STI variant though isn't expected to get be a turbocharged Subaru special with the carmaker expected to stick with the naturally aspirated engine.
The BRZ STI though has been spotted testing and if the prototypes are anything to go by the new car is expected to get a more aggressive body kit, beefier brakes and of course the big wing at the back.
