Spy Pics: Volkswagen Polo TSI Bluemotion Spotted Testing In India
The Euro-spec Volkswagen Polo TSI Bluemotion has been spotted testing in India.
The European-spec Volkswagen Polo TSI Bluemotion has been spotted testing in India. TeamBHP has managed to get some spy images of the hot hatch.
As per reports, the spotted car is equipped with a 1.4-litre TSI engine. But the spy pictures of the interior reveal that the car gets a 5-speed manual transmission which is unavailable with the 1.4-litre motor.
The spotted Polo TSI Bluemotion is likely to be powered by a 1-litre TSI engine available in right-hand-drive markets such as the UK and South Africa. The engine produces 94bhp and 160Nm of peak torque.
Volkswagen’s Bluemotion is similar to the Maruti Suzuki’s SHVS and Mahindra’s Intelli-Hybrid. It features auto start-stop, gear change indicator and regenerative braking for better fuel efficiency. The front fascia of the car gets LED headlights but misses out on fog lamps.
The interior of the car features a basic steering wheel without buttons, 8-inch Composition Media touchscreen system and climate control. The rear of the car features the signature Bluemotion Technology badging.
DriveSpark Thinks!
Volkswagen recently revealed the all-new Polo, and it is unlikely to make it to India anytime soon. So, the automaker might be planning to update the currently sold model to keep up with the competition.
