Sonalika Emerges As India’s No.1 Tractor Company In 51 HP Segment

Sonalika International Tractors Ltd. is a manufacturer of a technologically superior range of heavy duty tractors from 20HP to 120HP. Now, it has emerged as India's top tractor company in segments higher than 51HP.

In terms of number of units produced, Sonalika ITL stands as 3rd largest tractor maker in India and is hence recognised in both domestic as well as international market as a formidable player. The company became the number one tractor manufacturing company in the 51 HP Segment category in the month of June.

The 50bhp segment is usually targeted by progressive farmers who always prefer technologically advanced tractors instead of bare bones, basic ones.

As per the data released by TMA - an authorised body of Indian Tractor manufacturing Companies, Sonalika ITL dominated 33% of total segment sales and was ahead of its major competitors - John Deere, Mahindra & Mahindra, and New Holland.

Mr Raman Mittal, Executive Director, Sonalika ITL said that "Sonalika ITL is today a trusted brand among farmers across markets, in both India and abroad. This added to the increased demand, which we attribute to a healthy monsoon, farm loan waivers, and growing demand for heavy duty mechanization in enhancing farm productivity."

Sonalika also exports its tractors to more than 100 countries. The company has an integrated tractor manufacturing plant which also manufactures other farming equipment, offering complete agricultural solutions to cater to the need of global and domestic markets while maintaining international standards.
