Next-Generation Skoda Yeti Could Be Named Karoq
Skoda Karoq will replace the Yeti SUV and the all-new model to be longer, larger and more spacious on the inside.
Skoda will continue its SUV push after the 7-seater Kodiaq and will the debut a new mid-sized crossover to replace the Yeti.

The replacement of Yeti is likely to be called the Skoda Karoq. Near-production test vehicles have been spied at multiple instances across Europe ahead of the new SUV's global reveal.

As per the spy pictures from Auto Express confirm that Skoda will move to a new format with its next crossover. The Czech carmaker has replaced the boxy looks of the Yeti with a more modern design; this will position it on par with its Volkswagen Group sister car, the SEAT Ateca.

The design language though follows the recently launched Kodiaq SUV. The new Karoq's wheelbase measures 2,600mm, up from 2,578mm compared to the Yeti.

Looking at the SUV's exterior design, it will also have an interior related to that of the Kodiaq. The Koraq is expected to feature a touchscreen infotainment in its centre console with a simple design for the air conditioning controls beneath for the five-seater SUV.

Skoda has not revealed the engine specifications of the next-generation Yeti, but it is safe to expect the new Skoda SUV similar to engines seen under the hoods of the current-gen Volkswagen Tiguan and the Seat Ateca SUVs.
