Skoda Vision E Concept Revealed — Previews Electric SUV Set To Arrive In 2020
Skoda Vision E Concept revealed. The Skoda Vision E Concept previews an autonomous, electric SUV set to arrive in 2020 as Skoda's first all-electric model.
Skoda has revealed the Vision E Concept electric SUV ahead of its debut at the 2017 Shanghai Motor Show. The concept previews a radical electric SUV that will hit the roads in 2020.
Skoda's images of the Vision E Concept reveal a high-riding crossover. The front end that sports a ‘Skoda line' light that links the LED headlights.
Underneath, headlights sits the Phantom grille which hosts another LED strip that runs across the SUV's width.
The sides also feature LED strip lights and the concept sits on 21-inch wheels. The swooping panoramic roof gives the Vision E Concept a sporty stance. At the rear, the new concept features Skoda's familiar C-shaped tail lamps.
The new Skoda Vision E concept is 4,645mm long, 1,917mm wide and 1,550mm tall. The Vision E sits on the same MEB platform that underpins the Volkswagen I.D. concept unveiled at last year's Paris Motor Show.
Powering the Skoda Vision E are two electric motors producing 302bhp that drives all four wheels. The Skoda Vision E Concept has a top speed of 150km/h and range of up to 500 kilometers on a single charge. The batteries charge up to 80 percent in just 30 minutes with a fast charger.
The production version of the Skoda Vision E will go on sale in 2020 and will be the first ever electric vehicle from the Czech manufacturer. It will also be the first of five all-electric vehicles plans to bring out by 2025.
