Skoda Octavia RS Is Sold Out — India's Need For Speed Continues To Grow

Jan Repa, Head of Strategic Product Planning, Skoda Auto India confirmed the news to ET Auto and also revealed when the next batch of the Octavia RS would enter India. Repa told ET Auto, "We have already sold out the first batch of the Skoda Octavia RS 230. The next batch will come early-2018."

The Skoda Octavia RS is the fastest car from Skoda to go on sale in India since the Czech carmaker made its debut in the country in November 2001.

The Octavia RS is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engine that produces 227bhp at 5,500 - 6,200rpm and 350Nm of torque at 1,500 - 4,500rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed DSG automatic gearbox that transmits the power to the front wheels.

The Skoda Octavia RS can accelerate from 0-100kph in just 6.8 seconds and will continue sprinting till it tops out at 250kph. The performance-oriented Octavia RS requires 95 RON petrol to optimise its performance and returns a mileage of 14.45kpl (ARAI).
