Skoda Octavia ONYX Edition Introduced In India
The Octavia ONYX Edition gets new styling and features and will be available for a limited period only. The sedan gets body colour spoiler and new 16-inch Premia black alloy wheels.
Skoda has introduced the Octavia ONYX Edition in India with refreshed styling and new features. The limited edition Octavia to be sold across dealerships in India and will be available for a limited period.
The Octavia ONYX edition comes with new cosmetic changes and an all-black treatment, similar to the 'Black Edition' sold in international markets. The sedan introduced within the Octavia model range and the ONYX Edition will offer visual changes, differentiating it from the standard model.
The updates on the Octavia ONYX Edition include an attractive body coloured spoiler, new decorative foils and door sills. Among the key changes are the new 16-inch Premia black alloy wheels and black ORVMs.
The limited edition sedan comes with honeycomb air inlets to reveal a masculine stance, giving the Octavia ONYX a striking design.

The Octavia ONYX Edition also includes Bi-Xenon Projector Headlights, 12-way electrically adjustable driver's seat with memory function, panoramic sunroof among others.

One of the unique features is the Adaptive Frontline System (AFS), this enhances the safety of the driver by automatically adjusting the headlamps based on the driving conditions.

Powering the Skoda Octavia ONYX Edition, offered in both petrol and diesel, the petrol mill is the powerful 1.8-litre TSI engine producing 178bhp and 250Nm of torque, and comes paired to the 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox.

As for the diesel unit, Skoda is offering the 2.0-litre TDI engine developing 139bhp and 320Nm of torque paired to the 6-speed DSG gearbox.
The company said that the Skoda Octavia ONYX edition continues its journey with the success of the Octavia model range in India. The Skoda Octavia offers more safety and comfort features compared to products from higher segments. The ONYX edition combines typical strengths of the brand; safety, design, engineering, spaciousness & 'Simply Clever' features thus making the Octavia a compelling proposition.
Skoda India has not revealed the price of the Octavia ONYX Edition and is expected to launch soon. For the company, the most significant launch in 2017 is the Kodiaq SUV, scheduled to launch late 2017.
