Skoda To Launch Kodiaq vRS SUV In 2018
Skoda will introduce a sportier vRS version of the Kodiaq SUV in 2018.
Czech automaker Skoda will introduce a sportier vRS version of the Kodiaq SUV in 2018. Autocar reports that the hot edition of the five and seven-seater variants of the SUV is still under development.
Skoda has not revealed any details regarding the technical specification of the Kodiaq vRS. But as per reports, the model is said to have a lot of torque which suggest a diesel engine under the bonnet.

The automaker is also likely to introduce a petrol version of the hot SUV, but the focus will be on the diesel variant as most of the Kodiaq markets is diesel. The Kodiaq vRS is expected to be equipped with a four-wheel-drive system as standard.

The Kodiaq vRS will also feature some tweaks to the design to distinguish it from the standard Kodiaq. The package is likely to include redesigned bumpers for an aggressive look and extra trims around the front grille and windows.

The sportier iteration of the Kodiaq SUV could be very popular especially in Germany and the UK. In Britain, the vRS models account for 20 percent of the total Octavia sales. And most of the cars sold are diesel.

Skoda also plans to launch a coupe variant of the Koadiaq SUV in China. The product is developed for the Chinese market and will be manufactured in that country. The coupe SUV is unlikely to make it to Europe.

Skoda launched the new Octavia RS in India on September 1. 2017. The standard variant of the Kodiaq is expected to hit the Indian shores by the end of 2017. The automaker could introduce the hot SUV in the country by analysing the demand for the sportier avatar of the Octavia.
