Skoda Kodiaq Design & Features
The Skoda Kodiaq features a modern European design with sharp & strong character lines while retaining Skoda's design highlights including the butterfly grille up front. The grille is larger than ever on the Kodiaq and is flanked by full LED headlights. Underneath the headlights, on the front bumper sit the LED fog lamps which also act as cornering lights.
The Skoda Kodiaq sports squared off wheelarches which play host to 18-inch alloy wheels that are shod with 235/55 R18 tyres. A line runs across the side of the Kdoiaq connecting the healamps to the sharp C-shaped LED tail lights. The bootlid features a concave cutout which gives the tail lamps a 3D-look.
Inside, the Kodiaq features leather upholstery with the seats up front featuring 12-way adjustment and memory function. The headrests for the seats on either end of the middle row of seats fold out which allows passengers to take a nap with ease on the go.
The Kodiaq comes fitted with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system which is connected to a 12-speaker 750W Canton Audio system. The infotainment system sports Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and phone mirroring along with AUX, Bluetooth & multiple SD card support.
Other features on hand a massive panoramic sunroof, multiple storage spaces including two glove boxes, umbrellas in the front doors, door protectors and a magnetic torch that also acts a light for the boot.
Skoda has packed the Kodiaq with a host of safety features including 9 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, electronic differential lock, traction control, electronic parking brake with auto hold function and the multi-collision braking system which applies the brakes to prevent or mitigate a subsequent impact.
The Skoda Kodiaq is Skoda's first ever foray into the world of 7-seater SUVs and with its aggressive price tag, Skoda's big new Alaskan Bear will give its rivals like the Toyota Fortuner and the Ford Endeavour a run for their money.
