Porsche Tuner RUF To Reveal Supercar At Geneva Motor Show — The New Yellowbird
RUF has revealed tiny details of the supercar, except to say that the vehicle has been built around a carbon monocoque chassis.
RUF has something special for the 2017 Geneva Motor Show which the company claims it is very different from every car it has previously designed.

As you probably know, RUF mostly makes cars from Porsche bodies-in-white, they are then modified extensively and given RUF serial numbers and model names. RUF has been doing that for years, as well as transforming customer cars.

RUF has a display stand every year at the Geneva International Motor Show; the company has just announced it'll debut a new supercar at the Swiss show.

The company has not revealed details of the supercar, except to say that the vehicle has been built around a carbon monocoque chassis which is related to the type used by Formula One racing teams and the top supercar companies in the business.

RUF also maintains it'll be a car motivated by the most famous RUF of all: the original CTR, better known as the Yellowbird.

Back in 1987, the CTR was turning the supercar world upside down. CTR, and the NSX that followed not too long after, disturbed the established supercar players who consequently upped both their performance and refinement games.

The CTR is the most important part of RUF's legacy, and so matching the new car so tightly to the Yellowbird is a smart move.
