Renault Unveils 2017 Formula 1 Challenger — Will F1 Be Singing Yellow Soon?
French automajor Renault has revealed its 2017 Formula 1 car in London. The new car has been named as RS17.
Renault Formula One team has unveiled their 2017 car and the team aims to finish in the top five position in the championship after struggling in the last season.

Renault launched its 2017 season challenger, the RS17 in an event held in London. The car features Renault's traditional yellow livery but this time with a lot more black.

Renault is the third manufacturer to reveal the 2017 Formula 1 car after Sauber and Williams. The new car features re-shaped rear wing and thumb-tip nose design as seen on the previous two 2017 cars.

The 2017 Renault driver line-up includes former Force India driver Nico Hulkenberg who replaces Kevin Magnussen and Jolyon Palmer.

The 2017 Formula 1 car is powered by the new R17 which has undergone a major overhaul as the old design had reached its maximum potential. Renault states that this is the first all-Renault product since its return to the championship.

Renault aims to bounce back strongly after a disappointing 2016 season where the team finished in ninth position with just eight points on the board.

Renault Sport F1 Managing Director, Cyril Abiteboul, said, "If this (fifth place) is the target it means it's achievable. Some people will say it's not ambitious enough, some people will say that it's not realistic. We try to target in the middle."

He added, "Last year was a sort of marketing return in that we took a car that was already existing, we painted it yellow and called it Renault. We completely recognise this car as our first all-Renault product (since the return)."
Renault is planning to launch its new compact SUV, the Kaptur in the Indian market. Do check out the extensive photos of the new SUV in the below gallery.
