Renault Partners With McLaren To Supply Formula One Engine
Renault Sport Racing has partnered with McLaren to supply Formula One engine.
Renault Sport Racing has announced its partnership with McLaren Racing to supply Formula One engine for 2018, 2019 and 2020 seasons.
Apart from providing Formula One engine, Renault will also establish a close working relationship with McLaren's engineers and technicians.
Renault and McLaren have been an integral part of the Formula One championship for a very long time, but this is the first time that both the brands are collaborating. McLaren had already indicated about parting ways with Honda, and this deal confirms the development.
McLaren has struggled in the 2017 Formula One season due to several issues with the engine. Most of the time the team ended the race with a smoky engine which forced McLaren to look for a new engine supplier.

Renault has already demonstrated that its Formula One engines are capable of winning the title. The French firm will also get valuable feedback from a top F1 team for the development of its engine.
President of Renault Sport Racing, Jerome Stoll said, "This is a strategic decision for Renault Sport Racing. It is the first time that Renault will work with McLaren and we are proud to have reached an agreement with an organisation that has such a rich Formula 1 history."
