Renault has sold over 1,30,000 units of the Kwid in India has big plans about the hatchback’s future and its life cycle.
Renault revolutionised the hatchback market in India and gave competitors a run for their money with the Kwid. The car proved to be a game-changer for the French carmaker and the company has now sold over 1,30,000 cars in India.

Renault launched the Kwid with a 0.8-litre (800cc) engine and in a short span of time, introduced the 1.0-litre version followed by the Easy R- AMT variant to cater to a wide range of customers.

Renault grew its market share to 4.5 percent at the end of 2016, achieving a robust three-digit growth over 2015. This has also made Renault one of the youngest and fastest growing automotive brands in India.

After launching the 1.0-litre variants last year, Renault has further plans for the Kwid to keep pace with evolving customer preferences and has a strong product lifecycle strategy for the hatchback.
