Range Rover To Get Velar’s Advanced Infotainment System
The updated Range Rover will be equipped with the advanced infotainment system borrowed from the Velar. The infotainment system consists of two touchscreens.
The 2018 Range Rover will be updated with the new infotainment system. The new touchscreen infotainment system is borrowed from the yet to be launched Range Rover Velar.
As seen on a development vehicle with the undisguised interior, the Range Rover will get larger dual touchscreens. The new design is inspired by the Velar's infotainment system.
The Range Rover Velar has two 10-inch touchscreens for its Pro Duo infotainment system which reduces the switches to a minimum. The second screen is located below the primary display.
The design philosophy with new technology will be rolled out in the updated Range Rover. But it is not yet clear whether the dimensions of the screen remain the same. Given the higher pricing of Range Rover, it should get bigger units.
Identical to the Velar's design, the touchscreens expand around the controls, and it eliminates several buttons from the dashboard. The touchscreen can be used for climate control and Terrain Response.
The latest semi-autonomous technology aids the Range Rover, and with the new infotainment system, it will be the most advanced Land Rover model. But the updated Range Rover will not get any mechanical updates.
