Spy Pics: Production Ready Tata Nexon Spied — Launch Imminent?
The production version of the Tata Nexon has been spotted and Tata Motors is set to launch the compact SUV in the coming months.
Indian automaker Tata Motors is all set to launch its compact SUV, the Nexon in the Indian market. Ahead of that the SUV is spotted without any camouflage.
TeamBHP has spotted the production ready version of the Nexon SUV. The model is said to be the top-of-the-range trim by looking at the alloy wheels. The SUV has not changed much as compared to the concept version showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo.
The front fascia of the Tata Nexon is expected to feature a smiling grille with the Tata logo in the centre. The compact SUV will also get projector headlamps.
The images reveal the SUVs rear and side profile. The styling of the SUV features muscular wheel arches, body cladding and ORVM integrated turn indicators. A prominent line starts from the front wheel arch and runs through the door handles and integrates well with the tail lamp.
The rear of the Nexon gets clear lense tail lights, roof-mounted black spoiler and a blacked-out area around the registration plate housing. The SUV also features roof rails and plastic moulding on door pads.
The Nexon is expected to draw power from a 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.3-litre oil burner. Both the engines will be mated to a manual gearbox. Tata Motors might also offer an AMT variant as an option.
The Nexon will be the fourth product from the stable of Tata Motors to follow company's Impact Design language. When launched in India, the compact SUV will go head on against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV300.
