Porsche Macan Recalled Over 'Odours' Due To Leaky Fuel Pump
Porsche has issued a voluntary recall for the Macan SUV over a possible leaking fuel pump.
Porsche has issued a voluntary recall of 59,843 units of the Porsche Macan in North America over a possible leaky fuel pump.

Porsche has recalled 51,497 units of the Macan in the United States and another 8,346 units in Canada. The affected SUVs were manufactured between March 4, 2014 and April 14, 2017. The recall affects multiple variants of the Macan including the Macan, Macan S, Macan GTS, and Macan Turbo.

According to Porsche, it is possible that hairline cracks could develop on the filter flange of the fuel pump. If the cracks develop, a "very small amount" of petrol could leak out and cause a fuel odour to develop. Porsche, however, claims that no there are no actual incidents of this problem happening to owners.

To fix the issue, Porsche dealers will inspect the affected vehicles and will either seal or replace the problematic filter flange as necessary.

Owners of the affected Macans will be contacted by their local Porsche dealerships to bring their SUVs in to be inspected and repaired.
