2017 Porsche Panamera Turbo India Launch Date Revealed
The 2017 Porsche Panamera Turbo comes with new engine and gearbox.
Porsche's redesigned Panamera is either the world's sportiest luxury car or the world's most fantastic sports car.
Porsche is all set to launch the all-new Panamera Turbo in India on March 22, 2017. The new edition is now in its second generation and has got a new engine and gearbox as well as host of new features to stay up to date with 2017.
The expensive trim of the Turbo, the Panamera Turbo Executive, is also expected to accompany the Panamera. The Panamera Turbo's price is expected to be Rs 1.96 crore while the Turbo Executive could be priced at Rs 2.09 crore (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Panamera Turbo Executive is the extended wheelbase version of the Turbo, which affects its length and is 150mm longer than the Turbo.
The variation in the height, however, is only of 5mm, with the Executive being higher but when the car measures 1427mm, which adds another 5mm making ingress-egress easier.
As for the powertrains, both the cars come powered by the same 4.0-litre V8 petrol engine that makes 542bhp of power and 770Nm of torque. The motor is mated to an 8-speed dual clutch gearbox that helps it sprint to 100km/h in 3.8 seconds.
The Panamera Turbo Executive is slower by a tenth of a second. If you choose the Sport Chrono package, that sprint time could be cut additionally by two-tenths of a second. The all-wheel drive (AWD) also helps in increasing the Turbo's acceleration by allowing extra hold on the front axle.
As far as the features are concerned, there's InnoDrive which is a semi-autonomous driving system this works in union with the adaptive cruise control. The adaptive cruise control can control a speed limit just like cruise control but also keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front.
