The range-topping Panamera is powered by a turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine that churns out 542bhp is mated to a 134bhp electric motor.
Together, the system outputs a maximum of 671bhp and 850Nm for torque and enables the all-wheel-drive estate to hit 62mph (100km/h) in 3.4 seconds - 1.4 seconds quicker than the regular E-Hybrid model.
The estate wagon which develops its maximum torque from just 1400rpm can also hit 124mph (200km/h) in 11.9 seconds, just one second slower than the 911 GT3 RS can manage. Top speed is 192mph (309km/h).
The all-wheel-drive Turbo S E-Hybrid is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
The Panamera Sport Turismo Turbo S E-Hybrid employs a 14.1kWh lithium-ion battery that can be recharged in 2.4 to 6 hours, depending on the power outlet it's connected. The quickest Panamera can run in full EV mode for up to 31 miles (50km) with a top speed of 87mph (140km/h).
The lithium-ion batteries are fit into the car's floor, thereby reducing the boot space by 95-litres, but the figure stands at 425-litres.
As a standard fitment, the Sport Turismo S E-Hybrid receives 21-inch alloy wheels, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control and torque vectoring technology.
Additionally, there's a rear limited slip differential and ceramic composite brakes, as well as adaptive three-chamber air suspension with Porsche's Active Suspension Management system.
The car is priced from £140,868 (Rs 1.24 crore) making it the new range-topping variant of Porsche's Audi RS6 Performance and Mercedes-AMG CLS 63 Shooting Brake rival.
Porsche continues to enthral auto enthusiasts with performance cars; now the German company has revealed that even an estate like the Panamera Sport with hybrid technology can be quicker as well.
