Porsche Aims For 50 Percent EV Production By 2023
German automaker Porsche has stated that the company is aiming for 50 percent EV production by 2023.
German car maker Porsche has stated that by 2023, half of its production will be electric. CEO of Porsche, Oliver Blume revealed the information.
The Mission E will be the first electric car from the stable of Porsche. The electric car is likely to enter production in 2019. Apart from that, the automaker is planning to produce a second electric car based on Macan.

Blume also stated that the company plans to crank up the volumes to 60,000 units per year between the two electric cars. The goal can be achieved if the Mission E delivers the expected performance.
The Mission E is likely to have a range of over 500km on a single charge. But unfortunately, it's not based on the real-world conditions. Still, the car would deliver a range of around 400km.

Porsche is also aiming for a 0-100km/h in just 3.5 seconds. The German automaker also claims that the Mission E will feature an 800-volt charging system which can charge up to 80 percent in just 15 minutes.
